7 Days Desert Tour From Casablanca to Marrakech

 

Day 1: Airport – Casablanca

our 7-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech starts at Mohammed V airport in Casablanca. To start your tour of the commercial capital of Morocco (depending on the time of arrival you can drive us to your hotel before starting the tour). This tour will take you to see the lively center with its Art Deco architecture and the modern spa of Corniche d’Azur Diab. You can also visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, the second largest religious building in the world, which is open to non-Muslims.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes

After breakfast at the hotel, we left for Rabat. Rabat is the political and administrative capital of Morocco. There you can visit the picturesque Oudaia Kasbah, the Hassan Tower, and the Chellah necropolis. Leaving Rabat we head towards Meknes. There you will have the opportunity to see the Bab el-Mansour Aleuj (Gate of the Victorius Renegades) said to be the best gate in Meknes or even Morocco. Your visit along the walls of Medina will include the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, as well as Heri-es-Souani and the Bassin de l’Ageudal.

Day 3: Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

After breakfast, we leave the Ismaalian capital behind and travel through the countryside as we reach the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. There you will have time to explore this archaeological site which includes the best-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa, a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. Of particular interest are the Basilica, Diana’s mosaic, and the bath nymphs and triumphal arch. We continue to the imperial city of Fes where you can stay in a riad in the heart of the medina.

Day 4: Excursion of Fes

you spend most of the day with a local guide, exploring the attractions of Fes. The city was founded 1,000 years ago by the second Moulay Idriss. The tour starts from the door of the Royal Palace and takes you through the narrow streets of the medina in the Jewish quarter and the tanneries. This tour highlights all the historical and cultural sites, including the Bou Inania Medersa and the Karaouiyine Mosque. Afterward, you will have the opportunity to visit the ceramics cooperative to see traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. In the afternoon we will take you to admire the panoramic view over the medina and visit the new city of the modern experience of Fes.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Marrakech

We leave Fes after breakfast to travel through a varied landscape of the Middle Atlas Mountains. We drive through Ifrane, known as the “Little Switzerland” because of its appearance as a Swiss alpine resort and from there to Beni Mellal, a modern town on the edge of the great Tadla plain. The town is famous for its oranges and olive groves that stretch to the horizon. Continuing to Marrakech, we will pass through some of the richest agricultural areas of the country.

Day 6: Marrakech exploring day

In the morning, your local guide will take you to see the historical sites of Marrakech including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Jemma el Fna Square and the souks of the Medina, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the famous Ben Youssef Medersa. In the afternoon your private driver/guide will take you to visit the gardens of Majorelle and Menara. Dinner in a local restaurant. Night at the riad hotel.

Day 7: Marrakech – Airport

Depending on the time of the flight, there may be an opportunity for last-minute shopping before you pick us up for your transfer to the airport.
