4 Days Morocco tour From Marrakech To Desert

Day 1 Marrakech – Zagora (6 hours trip)

Our 4-day Morocco Desert Tour from Marrakech departs from your hotel or riad at 08h00 and the first area we will visit will be through the Atlas Mountains over the Tizi Ntichka pass; the pass rises 2260 meters above sea level, so the view is quite splendid. Several stops are made to view the scenery and take pictures. We arrive in Ouarzazate and visit Kasbahs Taourirte. Lunch is before continuing to Zagora.
The Draa River has given life to a huge oasis about 200 meters on the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. This valley has been coveted by nomads for years. Our advice is to stop on the way to Tinzouline to see the graffiti on the rocks.
Also, all the way there, you will find many palm groves to shade you between Kasbahs and Ksours filled with fields of corn, barley, vegetables, and henna plantations. Dinner and overnight in Zagora.

Day 2 Zagora – Merzouga (6 hours trip)

Today, we will cross the volcanic peaks of the Counter Atlas Mountains going southeast through the lunatic landscapes passing the oases in the middle of nowhere. The idea is to stop for lunch at the oasis of Alnif, where we will have something to eat and get our strength back before continuing to Merzouga until we reach Erg Chebbi where your Sahara desert camp is located.
Once we reach the site, we will change our means of transportation to camels to enjoy camel trekking in Erg Chebbi and witness one of the most sought-after sights on the planet: the dramatic Erg Chebbi sunset over the color-changing dunes! Afterward, with our homework done, we will return to our camp for a delicious Moroccan dinner under the starlight while the local nomads entertain us with their drums.

Day 3 Merzouga – Dades (6 hours drive)

After breakfast at the desert camp, it’s our turn to walk through the 1001 Kasbahs passing rivers, oases, and fortified Kasbahs to Tinghir, where we can enjoy a walk along the banks of the Todgha River towards the Todrha canyons. At this point, we will make a short stop for Almozar so we can continue early in the afternoon and stroll through the Dades Valley. At this point, you will pass along some fortified Kasbahs and Berber Villas with the sunset in the background towards the Dades Gorges before returning to your hotel, dinner, and overnight.

Day 4 Dades – Marrakech (6 hours trip)

After breakfast, walk along the Valley of Roses to Kalaa Megouna where you can visit a rose water cooperative and learn how the locals manufacture rose water essence perfumes.
Continue to Skoura Oasis, considered one of the largest oases in the South, and visit one of the Kasbahs there (time permitting) before continuing to Ouarzazate for lunch.
Early in the afternoon, we will drive to Marrakech via Tizi Ntichka and your driver will take you directly to your hotel or riad to finish your 4 Days Morocco tour From Marrakech To the Desert.
