5 Days Desert Tour From Casablanca To Fes
day 1: Casablanca – Marrakech:
After meeting at the agreed location, we will explore some places in the city such as the Hassan II largest mosque, the United Nations site and the coastal coast «Corniche»… and then we will go to Marrakech, where you will have free time asking for the helmet old. We will spend the night in the hotel or Riad.
Day 2: FES TO MERZOUGA VIA MIDELT, ERRACHDIA, RISSANI THEN MERZOUGA
Today’s plan is to drive to the Merzouga desert. On your way, you will travel through the panoramic landscapes of the Atlas Mountains. During this trip, you will visit the cedar forest near Azrou and drive through the city of Ifrane (Switzerland of Morocco). The journey continues driving towards our destination until we stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Midelt (the apple capital). After that, we travel through the incredible Tizi N’Tlghamt Pass and the fascinating Ziz Valley.
You will have breaks to take some lovely photos and admire such views. We will also pass by Erfoud, which is famous for the production of fossils and where the festival of the date is held every year, and numerous ancient Ksours. In the afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga and take a short break to rest after a warm welcome. Later, you will enjoy a camel trek for camping in the Erg Chebbi desert. You will have dinner and spend the night in a nomadic tent under the enchanting bright stars.
Day 3 Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorges-Dades Goreges
Early in the morning, wake up to see what could well be the best sunrise of your life. You come back by camel to your hotel where you bathe and have breakfast in Merzouga. Along the way, you can’t help but enjoy the unique and spectacular beauty of the ‘Chebbi’ sand dunes and their changing light.
After breakfast, we head to the Tinerhir and Todra gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After having lunch in the heart of the gorge, we will cross the Dades valley, where we will see the majestic castles and the amazing rock formations.
4 day: Dades Valley – Tinjdad – Sahara Desert.Merzouga
After breakfast, we will head towards Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Berber villages are distributed along the way. We will pass through Todra Gorges, Tenghir, Tinjdad, Erfoud where we will feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. Then we continue driving to a hotel in Merzouga, after relaxing for a few minutes, you will take part of your luggage in a small bag (just enough to spend the night in the desert) and leave the rest of the luggage at the hotel.
Then, we will ride the camels on an adventure that will cross the Erg Chebbi dunes. This is a golden opportunity to take great sunset and sunrise photos. When we arrive at the camp, we will walk on foot to the highest sand dunes to board the sand and watch the sunset. We will spend, or stay awake, the night in a camp of nomadic Berber tents with drum music in the middle of the Sahara.
Day 5 Guided tour in Marrakech
After breakfast, you can enjoy a guided morning tour of Marrakech, ‘the red city of Morocco’. Your guide will make sure to see all the sites with historical values and cultural interests, including the Minaret Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian tombs, the beautiful Bahia Palace, and The Ben Youssef Koranic School. Through the streets: have the opportunity to see the different artisans of the medina doing their work before arriving at the famous Djamaa El Fna.
Have lunch in a restaurant near the place, and then, in the afternoon, visit the Majorelle Gardens and a small Gueliz tower, the new city of Marrakech. After dinner, you will have the opportunity to walk through the place entertained by magicians, storytellers, teeth, and food vendors.
