3 Days Tour from Chefchaouen to Marrakech

For tourists with limited time in Morocco who want to see the desert, Saharamarrakech has designed this 3-day desert tour from Chefchaouen to Marrakech via Merzouga. To go to Meknes, the capital of Ismail, you must travel over the Rif Mountains and the Middle Atlas. After that, you must cross through Ifrane and the Azrou Forest before arriving at the city of Midelt. On the second day, you’ll travel through the Ziz Valley before arriving at the Merzouga Desert, where you’ll switch to a camel for transportation. On your third leg to Marrakech, you’ll pass past the cities of Ouarzazate and Tizi N’Tichka.

3 Days Desert Tour From Chefchaouen to Marrakech


Day 1: From Chefchaouen to the city of Midelt via Meknes – Middle Atlas Mountains – and Cedar Forest

You will depart Chefchaouen after breakfast and head into Azro, a picturesque mountain hamlet known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” before continuing on to Midelt. You’ll catch a sight of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains while traveling. stopping at Azrou, a Berber town in the midst of Morocco’s largest cedar forest, where you might be able to see Barbary apes. After spending some time in the woodland, your journey continues to Midelt via the breathtaking Atlas Mountains and Hills, where you will spend the night.

Day 2 : Midalt – Ziz Valley – Tafilalt Oasis – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After a typical breakfast at your hotel on the second day, you continue to Ziz Valley and Ziz Gorge before starting your ascent into the High Atlas Mountains and concluding your ascent by traveling down the road. Following the Ziz River’s carved-out valley. and into the stunning desert of Morocco.

Then on to Merzouga, a Berber settlement, and Morocco’s breathtaking Sahara Desert sand dunes. the stunning Erg Chebbi sand dunes. To view the sun sinking over the desert, you will ride a camel into the camp and into the dunes.
Camping tonight in a cozy little Berber tent under the stars. Camp in the desert overnight.

Day 3: From Merzouga desert to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and the High Atlas Mountains

To see the dawn before breakfast, get up early. After that, ride your camel back to Merzouga’s main street. You will be picked up by your driver for the journey to Marrakech while they wait. Continue to Marrakesh via the High Atlas Mountains after stopping halfway for lunch in Ouarzazate. Your arrival in Marrakesh is typically scheduled for approximately 6:00 p.m.
