3 Days Tour From Agadir To Merzouga

In order to give our visitors more opportunities to explore Moroccan history and landscapes, such as the Rose Valley, Todra Gorges, and the old Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, we at Saharamarrakech Company created this 3-Days Desert Tour From Agadir to Merzouga Sahara Desert via Ouarzazate. We also included a lovely overnight stay in the Merzouga desert.

3 Day Desert Tours From Agadir To Merzouga

Day 1: Agadir to Ouarzazate

The first day of your desert tour from Agadir to Merzouga will start at 8:00. After breakfast at your hotel, we will drive to Ouarzazate via Taroudant, where you will have a short visit to the city’s historical fortifications and souks. Then we will go to the ancient Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortified Ksar which has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.

After lunch at the Kasbah, we will continue our journey to the cinematic city of Ouarzazate, a southern Moroccan city known as “the gateway to the desert”. Ouarzazate has several kasbahs, mountains, valleys and oases, as well as palm trees, which give the region its magnificent views. We will spend the night there.

Day 2: From Ouarzazate to Merzouga desert

We will depart Ouarzazate for Skoura, one of the wonders of the thousand kasbahs of the south, at 8:30 am on the second day of our three-day Morocco trip from Agadir. After that, we’ll go through the Valley of the Roses, passing by the Ait Youl kasbah, before arriving at Boulmane. After that, we’ll proceed to Tinghir, which provides amazing views of the Todgha Gorges and other places. Later, after seeing the Touroug palm fields and having lunch there, we’ll continue on to Erfoud to check out a nearby fossil craft shop.

At the end of the day, we will reach the desert of Merzouga, the highlight of all our trips in Morocco. Your camels will be waiting for you near the dunes to start your desert adventure to your camp, where you will enjoy Berber music, see the starry sky and spend a beautiful night.

Day 3: From Merzouga to Agadir

Our three-day trip to Morocco will end with a return to Agadir, where we began. To go back to the starting location, we will ride camels over the Erg Chebbi desert. Our final journey will begin by traversing arid pre-desert terrain, where we will see the “acacia,” a tree typical of this environment. Then, on the way, we’ll stop at the Draa Valley to take in the breathtaking views of the river that gives the valley its name.

Our journey to Agadir continues through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, pausing for lunch overlooking the Kasbah of El Glaoui and passing through Taliouine (the capital of saffron). Finally, our 3-day desert tour from Agadir concludes around 8:00 pm, when we drop you off at your hotel.
